Just a few pictures of my current lighting situation. I’ve been messing with it for some time and I think I found the sweet spot. I want to be able to film inanimate objects and avoid hard shadows and reflectivity. Surprisingly, the cards I am filming / taking pictures of doesn’t reflect all that much. I was trying to get the light right while keeping items in things like top loaders. Unfortunately, the top loaders are very reflective so I’ve had to lower the lights and increase the ISO on my camera which led to grainy images and video.
I wanted to get some pictures of the setup because I will need to move it from time to time when I do live videos. I want to use the created set that’s there. I am a little short on room so I need to make the most of the space I have.
Note: I have diffusers for the lights, but they didn’t help with the reflectivity of the top loaders I had the cards in. After removing them along with the protective cover, the cards come out crisp and vibrant. I’m not too happy about having to ditch the protective top loaders, but it seems like this is the only way to make it work.
